Rhiannon "Rhia" D. Funke
About
Courtroom-Tested Confidence
Rhiannon D. Funke, though those who know her call her Rhia, has been practicing law since 2011, and she knows how overwhelming the legal system can feel when someone is injured. She shows up for her clients with focus, steady guidance, and determination, helping them navigate each step with clarity and confidence.
Over the years, Rhia has tried more than 200 matters, successfully handled over a dozen appeals, and represented clients in high-stakes depositions, mediations, and arbitrations. Her experience in tort and contract litigation gives her a sharp, strategic edge, which now fuels her work in workers’ compensation and personal injury at Palace Law.
A Mind for Strategy and Story
Rhia’s path to the law was shaped by curiosity and communication. She earned her law degree from Stetson University College of Law and is licensed in Washington and Florida, and she also holds degrees in journalism and philosophy. That combination helps her think critically, communicate clearly, and make sure her clients’ stories are heard the way they deserve. She asks the right questions, pays attention to the details, and always looks for the angle that makes a real difference.
Life Beyond the Law
Rhia lives in Lakewood with her husband of 20 years, Michael, and their children, Quinn and Maggie. Home life also includes two Nebelung cats and Oberon, a goldendoodle she proudly calls the best-trained dog she’s ever met. When she’s not in the office, Rhia loves making resin art, hiking, gardening, and spending time at the dog park. Those creative and outdoor outlets keep her energized and ready for the work she loves.
Rhia approaches every case with care, persistence, and heart. At Palace Law, she is known for staying grounded, thinking strategically, and standing strong for the people who trust her with their future.
